  • Tax Benefits:

    • Section 80C: Deduction up to ₹1.5 lakh on principal repayment.

    • Section 24: Deduction up to ₹2 lakh on interest repayment.

    • Section 80EE: Additional ₹50,000 deduction on interest for first-time buyers in MIG I.

    • Section 80EEA: Additional ₹50,000 deduction on interest for first-time buyers in EWS/LIG12.


2. Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS)

Overview: Part of PMAY, CLSS aims to make housing loans more affordable by providing interest subsidies.


Eligibility:

  • Must belong to LIG or MIG income groups.

  • Should not own any other house in your name or your family’s name.

  • Must not have received any government housing subsidy before.
